An Official Play Date

We had our 1st OFFICIAL play date with Nicole. Nicole is so getting use to coming to our house. We had lunch together and then off to the mall we went. Nicole even got her ears pierced. And she really likes, loves her Aunt Sherri - she gave me 3 hugs and 4 kisses. I love that little girl and she is just as beautiful.

Yes, and I got my hairs cut! About 4 inches taken off. Took me a while to get use to it, but I like it.

For those of you who look at this blog....noticed the changed photo of Nicole on the header!! She smiles more and more, each time I see her. I love that pic of her.

Finally a play date with Nicole

We were so very excited to see Nicole today. I guess if it wasn't for our Post Placements today, it may not have happen. The girls seem to be playing well together, but Nicole was a bit pushy with Emma at all times. She's lived in an Orphanage longer then Emma and had to fight i'm sure over toys. But, Emma did very well - she shared her toys and let Nicole play with what she wanted and she moved on.

Nicole, wanted nothing to do with any toys for a very long time. I (Mom) went over to the toy room with Emma and we showed Nicole how to play with things. Nicole after she got on the zebra was very happy playing and riding it.

Then we spent a good hour or more in the pool. Nicole is finally use to the water, as she is with her bathes and loved the water.

Our girl being just as silly as always! And yes, she did that!

After our fun day, and because we eat sharp at 5pm...we all headed over to subway!

I'm looking forward to our next play date! Now that they have come up, I think AnneMarie sees the importance of having the girls together. We plan on doing a Mommy and Daughter day! I also suggested that Todd and Howie do a Father/Daughter day!

I was so very happy, by the time they left that Nicole, not only gave me one kiss - but 3 with a smile. She did crawl between me and her Mommy, kept touching my leg and even climbed up on my lap.

Nicole's Family

We have ourselves a whole new family. We attended AnneMarie's baby shower today in honor of Nicole coming home. This little girl looks so scared at times, but then I would catch maybe a small smile or two. Before Todd and Sam left, Sam was playing with Emma....so love the look on her face. They both did the same look.

Emma is trying her best to be friendly with Nicole and she has no clue what to do with her. Nicole just stares and wonders...what do you want!

Emma gave Nicole this toy - she has one at home and really enjoys it.

This is Rebecca holding both girls, every one fell in love with Emma too! And I will say Annemarie has some beautiful woman in her family, her sisters, nieces and nephew all gorgeous. I said to Annemarie's Mom - I know now why we get along so well - it's because we share the same birthday. How funny for both our birthday's to fall on March 19th. She's just about 30 yrs older, she turned 80 this year and next year i'm 50.

This is Maria - AnneMarie's oldest sister who is 54 - this is the second time she and Emma met. Emma just loves her.

This is AnneMarie's other sister, can't remember her name.

This is the quit I made for Nicole. After she was done opening up her gifts. I take it most of the woman, well all of them took a nice look at it and came over to me and said, I did a beautiful job. What a nice friend she has in you to make her something so special.

A little bit about the shower - I met some really nice people and that is where I found my new family. They all seem to love my family and we theirs. Emma, blended in so well as she could easily fit in being their Asian. Howie's Mom on the other hand - I guess it's old age with her, but she made some of the rudest comments today. I sat next to her ass and I heard her trying to pass around some kind of joke piece of paper about men to the woman. I just put my blinders on and didn't even look at her.

When AnneMarie opened up her first gift, it has no card and out of the blue she yelled it's from me as she picks one by one out (AnneMarie) and said there are 11 outfits in there, did you see the white sweater, I told her she did and if she were playing attention she would have noticed that was the first thing she took out. Then she said out loud and that skirt was the most expensive thing I got her - every one looked at this lady, and I turned around and said thank you for sharing that information with us, we wanted to know that. Then said ask me twice while AnneMarie was opening up her gifts, If I wanted to see that joke paper she had. I again looked at her and so NO...I'm watching AnneMarie open up her gifts..that's what I came for.

So now we're taking a trip over to AnneMarie's Mom condo for a while, getting away from Howie's Mom and she shows up, really? So, anyway this is where I got the photos of Nicole by herself, at her Grandmom's.

Nicole now in the bedroom - this is where I got her to smile. I simply decided to play with her and she loved it. And all I did was tickle her - she gave me a few smiles.

Can't believe I got this smile from her. When I went to give her back to her Mommy - she didn't want to. She wanted me to hold her..

So, before we left AnneMarie gave me a bag and said here is your stuff. The stuff that was giving to me was our scale for weighting suit cases, a pair of squeaky shoes I gave her money for and my $30.00 cash.

Before they left for China - I gave them $36. in Chinese money to put towards a pair of shoes, which is what these pair come from. And they owed me $30. for an area rug I sold them. I told them to use that money and turn it into Chinese money to pick some things up for Emma. I even emailed her a list. And reminded them like 5 times before they left. Well, while they were in China - I reminded them again and even ask them if they picked Emma up anything. AnneMarie said well the money you gave us that was in the envelope only had $36. in it, yeah that's correct so we didn't have enough money to buy Emma anything else. What? I said what about the $30. and again she said what $30. are you kidding me. Well, after explaining it to them in China 4 times in one night - they forgot and didn't pick her up anything. Are you kidding me again? My mind if I were in China and they had Nicole home, would have picked Nicole up things just because I would want to. They didn't buy Emma anything, I was pretty amazed by that, being I just gave them a ton of clothes and other things for them for their trip as their child had NOTHING! Hey but that's me, every one is not like me. I even mentioned don't worry about it, I have another friend going over in a few weeks, I will gave her the money and she will pick Emma up some stuff..

So, now we're home and after I pop Emma into the tub for Todd and I jump in the shower, i'm now looking into the bag. I have a friend leaving for China on the 23rd and I wanted to send her some money. So, I look into the bag to find our scale, the shoes and the $36. in Chinese money. Again what? What the hell, the Chinese money should have been used for her shoes and I should have $30. cash in there, no cash at all. I got on the phone she answered it and I called them goof balls. I once again explained to her you didn't gave me my $30. How many dang gone times do I need to explain that? I told her when she comes up on Wed, or Thurs to don't forget Emma's sippy cup and umbrella we left and my $30. in cash they owe me. She said what am I to do with the Chinese money, I don't know and I don't card - I want my money you owe me for that area rug I sold to you for $50. - it wasn't a gift.

I do by the way, love the shoes.

Meeting Anna Grace and Kai

This is my sweet friend Ohilda. I've met her a few years ago, then she introduced me to her sister Ileanna, because she lived in the same area we did. Any way - she came down with her family to celebrate her birthday and her Nephews..and her Mom wanted to invite us. After she met Emma a few weeks ago, she fell in love and wants Emma now to call her Po Po.

So here Emma is with my friend Ohilda.

and Anna Grace - O's 7 yr old daughter....just beautiful. AG didn't remember me, but she sure sat close to me while playing her game. She too really liked Emma.

Ileanna, gave Emma this ladybug costume. I told her next year for Emma's birthday party, her 1st one here - I want to do a ladybug theme with Asian children only. But being we have other children, they will also be invited, because we can't leave the brothers out. Sam, ask about that too. I mention to him and Ohilda, it's going to be a Asian party, but if you have other children that's fine.

I was playing with my fish theme on the camara and man did I get some funny shots. Ohilda looks like she ate some of Emma.
